Decorating costs

What might your decorating cost?

A guide price helps you decide whether a project is in reach. These are starting estimates; your written quote will reflect the size, condition and surfaces we agree to decorate.

Room redecoration

From £650

A small room in good condition. The room size, repairs and agreed woodwork affect the final price.

Hall, stairs & landing

From £1,400

A compact hall and staircase. Extra storeys, awkward access and detailed woodwork add work.

Exterior masonry

From £1,300

A small elevation in good condition. Preparation, access and the area to cover affect the quote.

What changes the price?

The surfaces

Stripping, filling, repairs and previous coatings all affect how much preparation is needed.

The work included

Walls alone are a different job from walls, ceilings, doors and detailed woodwork. The proposal makes that clear.

Access and timing

Height, furniture, the way the property is used and suitable weather can affect the plan.

Before you decide

What will the quote include?

The areas and surfaces, preparation, materials, agreed work and price. You’ll have it in writing so you can see what you’re buying.

Can I tell you my budget?

Yes. It helps me explain what is realistic and whether doing the work in stages would make sense.

Why might another quote be different?

Check that both cover the same preparation, surfaces, materials and access. If something is unclear in my proposal, ask and I’ll explain it.

What if the work changes?

I’ll talk it through with you and agree any extra work and its price before going ahead.
